Second Opinion:
Second Opinion started between two high school choir-mates in Austin, Texas. What began as a fun music project of cover songs between Kat and Trev as seniors soon became the realization of Second Opinion's unique concept. Second Opinion is an irresistible blend of Trev's pop and dance background and Kat's soul and R&B background. Second Opinion's music is as diverse a mix as its members, although Trev and Kat are more than a gimmick. Many have attempted to blend such distinct genres and are often left with watered down results. "We have a patent pending," Trev jokes.
Second Opinion's debut professional project is their three-song demo. The first song on their demo is "Brevity," a mix of pop and dance music, laden with elements of house and trance. It reminds us that any great love is measured by its intensity, not necessarily its longevity. The second song is the upbeat pop and R&B ballad, "In Class," conveying the heartache of constantly confronting an ex. The last song, which further illustrates Second Opinion's wide spectrum of music, is "Back And Forth." "Back And Forth" is a hip-hop song perfect for the club with smooth R&B undertones.
Second Opinion's musical pursuits do not end there. In the future, they hope to continue testing and blending the borders of many musical genres. Second Opinion has only just begun.

Trev:
Trev, named David Lee Brown (March 19th, 1985) by his parents, adopted the name Trevor to maintain originality after discovering the name's vast popularity. "Anytime someone would call out 'David,' half the class would turn their heads." Still, what he would call himself would be the least of his troubles. Trev's parents divorced when he was just eight years old, leaving his mother to raise him and his two older brothers in the underprivileged areas of Austin, Texas. "Times were tough, but through the will of my mother, we got through it."
Trev began performing at an early age, seizing any and every opportunity to act, sing, or dance. One of his first shining moments was his acceptance to Believe In Me, a highly selective performing arts company. Soon, Trev would join another performing arts company, where he would experiment with choreography as well musical direction of such pieces from "West Side Story" and "The Lion King".
This, of course, led him to McCallum Fine Arts Academy, where he would study vocal performance and theatre. While at the Fine Arts Academy, Trev picked up a major role in "The Right Girl," a film about "love's blind spot." As seniors, Trev and his best friend, Kat, worked on a recording project, but little did they know, it would lead to the formation of Second Opinion. After returning from The University of Texas at Austin, Trev would soon join Kat for the recording of their demo album.

Kat:
Kat, named Katherine Elizabeth Webb (December 15th, 1984) by her parents, was raised in the suburbs of Austin, Texas with both her parents and an older sister, Stephanie. Since a young age, Kat was interested in singing, starting in her local church choir and receiving private voice lessons starting at the age of seven. She was classically trained in a prestigious touring choir for girls, Austin Girls Choir, and on into high school, singing Italian arias and opera.
In other genres of singing, however, Kat was not always the eager soloist and was forced to overcome her stage fright of singing popular music in public after a harsh wake-up call from her parents in the eighth grade. "If you want to be a singer, you have to perform." Starting in high school, at the McCallum Fine Arts Academy, Kat sang whenever possible, culminating her struggle with stage fright by singing The Fugees' version of "Killing Me Softly" for her senior solo in McCallum Show Choir's Fall Cabaret.
She graduated from the Fine Arts Academy with a double-major in Vocal Performance and Instrumental Music (oboe and marching band). After many years of being a dorky overachiever in school, Kat moved on to Yale University, the same university her parents had met at and her sister had graduated from the year before. There, she further came into her own as both a singer and a person and returned home to record Second Opinion's demo album with her best friend, Trev.
